About Us

This website is a publication of the New Testament Missionary Fellowship, a church incorporated under the laws of the State of New York as an Independent Church in New York City in 1965. Our email contact address is info@ntmf.nyc.

The corporate name our founding members gave us was intended to remind us of several key aspects of our shared calling:

First, “New Testament” declares that we look to the inspired word of God, the Bible—rather than to an ecclesiastical tradition—to instruct us as we seek to worship and glorify God together and build one another up in Jesus Christ, our crucified and risen Savior and Lord.

“Missionary” describes our history as participants in a joint calling with other Christians to take the message of Christ’s redemption to all people. We are ourselves active in domestic and foreign missions, and in campus ministry, and we support other organizations and individuals in their missions.

“Fellowship” emphasizes our glad acknowledgement that the New Testament places the responsibility for the spiritual care and feeding of a congregation squarely on the shoulders of all of its members together—rather than on one or a few ecclesiastical professionals. We encourage all of our fellow members, from the elders to the youngest, to take their appropriate part in the blending of many voices that characterizes our in-person and, more recently, virtual gatherings.

For over half a century of fellowship in various settings: in homes, in public, on campus, and in foreign missions, we have found our Lord Jesus an unfailing fountain of gifts and grace, through the Holy Spirit, in supplying everything needed to build us up together as members of His body.

We hope that parts of the content we present on this website will resonate with you and help you in your own calling to serve and glorify the One the Father has made our Head—Jesus the Messiah.
